Few names in the cigar world carry more weight than Drew Estate. Founded in 1996 by Jonathan Drew, the company grew from a tiny New York retail kiosk into one of the most influential cigar makers on the planet and the force behind legendary lines like Liga Privada, Undercrown, and ACID, all rolled at their massive La Gran Fabrica in Estelí, Nicaragua.
Now Jonathan Drew is writing his next chapter — and it's happening right here in Miami. In partnership with Drew Estate, he's launching J. Sann & Son, a 7,200-square-foot cigar culture destination in the heart of the Wynwood Art District (359 NW 28th Street). Under one roof: a working family-owned cigar factory, a retail tobacconist, a world-class cigar bar, a full-kitchen supper club, and a live music venue.
The name says it all it's a tribute to his newborn son, Jonathan Drew Sann II ("JD2"), and what Drew calls "the generational ritual of the passing of the torch."
This won't be a mass-production operation. Just four rollers producing 500 handmade cigars per day, with five ultra-limited house brands already previewed at PCA 2026: Our Trademark, Madrugada, Thirteen Years, West End, and Homegrown. The factory goes into full production this September, with the first cigars shipping January 2027 distributed by Drew Estate on an extremely exclusive basis.
